From Uncertain to Empowered Entrepreneur

The Challenge

Before joining the workshop, a student struggled with confidence, had been bullied, and wasn’t sure what career path to take. Like many young people, they felt limited by the opportunities available locally and unsure how to turn their ideas into something real.

The Workshop Experience

In our interactive workshop, the student participated in activities designed to build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. They especially enjoyed:

Understanding their why:

Coming from a single-parent household, they had seen their parent struggle to find work due to incomplete education. Throughout the week, the student discovered their why - to help people with limited education find high-salaried work.

• Learning about marketing and finance in a hands-on way

• Working in a supportive group where everyone’s voice mattered

The Outcome

By the end of the workshop, the student had:
✅ Created a clear idea for a business project
✅ Built the confidence to share their ideas in front of others
✅ Identified practical next steps - from further study to applying for work experience

Today, they are entering year 11 with an improved outlook on their next steps after their GCSEs and a business idea for the future.
